Jesus D. Zelaya

Jesus Zelaya previously served as in-house counsel for a construction company in the District of Columbia where he handled transactional, litigation, arbitration, and settlement matters. In 2020, Mr. Zelaya was a legal extern at the Office of General Counsel at Boston University, where he worked on contract, tort, and construction litigation issues. Furthermore, Mr. Zelaya interned at the Trial Division of the Massachusetts Office of the Attorney General, which exposed him to various phases of civil litigation. Prior to the Attorney General’s, Mr. Zelaya was a judicial intern for the Honorable Mark Mastroianni in the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts.

Mr. Zelaya received his J.D. from Boston University School of Law where he served as staff editor for the International Law Journal, focused his law journal note on international arbitration, and was a pro bono honors award recipient. Mr. Zelaya received his B.A. cum laude from Amherst College. Mr. Zelaya is fluent in Spanish and is a native of Montgomery County, Maryland. He is admitted to practice law in the District of Columbia and Maryland.
