The Pels Law Firm gratefully and belatedly welcomes Eliza O’Donnell as a law clerk for the academic year! Eliza is a law student in her second year at Loyola University Chicago School of Law. After graduating from Loyola University Chicago in 2020 with a B.A. in English, Eliza worked in SaaS sales and account management before deciding to return to school and pursue law.

At Pels Law, Eliza has assisted in common law research, statutory analysis, document review, and drafting of filings for a variety of complex civil litigation and personal injury cases. She hopes to continue to learn effective communication strategies in her role as a Pels Law clerk. Eliza also aims to learn more about mediation and litigation processes.
Outside of her work at Pels Law, Eliza is currently serving her law school community as an Associate Editor for Loyola’s Annals of Health Law and Life Sciences, and as the Vice President of Operations for the Disabled Law Student Collective. In her spare time, she enjoys volunteering as the co-leader of a local Girl Scout troop.

Originally from the Maryland-D.C. Area, she also loves to visit museums whenever possible, though “Chicago museums” ticket prices make her miss the Smithsonian more every day.” We are honored to have Eliza at the firm.
